Terms of Service

Last updated: July 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Yo DJ Request (the “Service”), available at yodjrequest.com. By using the Service — whether as a DJ, event organizer, or audience member — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Yo DJ Request lets DJs create live events where audiences submit and upvote song requests in real time. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time as the Service evolves.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you affirm that you meet this requirement. DJ and admin accounts must be created by adults or with the consent of a parent or guardian.

3. Accounts

DJs and admins are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activity under their account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it current.

4. Song requests and user content

Song requests, notes, names, and any other content you submit (“User Content”) are visible to the DJ hosting the event and may be visible to other attendees. You agree not to submit User Content that:

  • is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or obscene;
  • impersonates another person;
  • contains spam, advertising, or malicious links; or
  • infringes anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us and the hosting DJ a non-exclusive license to display and process it as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your request in the event feed).

5. Moderation

DJs may hide, remove, or decline any request at their discretion. We may remove User Content, suspend events, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without notice. Submitting a request does not guarantee a song will be played.

6. Payments

The Service does not currently offer paid features. When paid features (such as priority requests or credits) launch, additional payment, billing, and refund terms will apply and will be presented before you pay. Payments will be processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without permission.

8. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party providers (hosting, real-time messaging, email, and — when live — payments). We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by those providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 4, 7, 9, 10, and 12) survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Service operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice on the site or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
